Logo Color Use

This logo represents the compony Nike. In this photo it uses different shades of blue, making it an a monochromatic, but normally the color is black and white. I think Nick use the colors black and white because they can go on anything. Although Nick changes their logo's color to match what it is going on, so Nike's logo is more reconized but what it looks like instead of what color it is.
